Welcome to the website of NORDIK – The Nordic Association for Art Historians! Our aim is to build this website into a living and flourishing forum that brings individual scholars and different organizations such as universities, museums and societies for art history together. One of the key tasks of the The Nordic Association for  Art Historians  is to organise an academic art history conference every three years.

The Board consists of members from all Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) that are appointed by the general assembly of the association for a period of three years. The general assembly usually takes place in connection with the NORDIK conference, which takes place every third year in one of the Nordic countries. The present committee was appointed by the general assembly that took place in connection with NORDIK XI in Reykjavik, Iceland.
